With a deep interest in people and their career satisfaction, teamed with a compelling attraction to assisting companies identify, select and develop the best talent for their organization, Skip started college majoring in Industrial Psychology. As his career interests crystallized, he began to even further appreciate and refine his career-long passion within the field of employee recruitment, selection, and development.

For over 25 years, Skip has dedicated himself to the research and practical application of personality and cognitive assessment in the workplace. As a scientist-practitioner, he has completed numerous validation studies on positions, including: entry-level steel-making employees, sales representatives, accountants, engineers, maintenance professionals and clerical/administrative positions. He’s spent a career studying, researching and understanding the different competency and capabilities required for leaders in various industries such as manufacturing, commercial & residential plumbing, medical equipment, food processing, engineered products, and aviation. Over these years, Skip has worked predominately in private, national & global companies with 1BB-2BB in sales to a large, Fortune 200 organization with an international outreach.

Intensely driven to provide custom designed tools and services that best meet the specific needs of a client, Skip has authored over 100 recruitment, selection and development tools. He’s built The Aldridge Group to be a responsive and highly client-focused company. In his desire to grow the business, yet retain the same traits that have contributed to The Aldridge Group’s (TAG’s) success, Skip personally recruits and selects the best talent in the consulting psychology space.

Skip holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, as well as a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership. He is a licensed psychologist and is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists, and Society of Consulting Psychologists. As a life-long Clevelander, avid sports fan (although with the Cleveland Browns it can be tough), and committed husband and father, in his free time, Skip enjoys traveling and camping with his family, watching his kids on their sports teams, and boating on Lake Erie.
